
An anointed and dedicated minister of the Gospel, Lenora Phelps is spiritually gifted to share God’s truth of inspiration and encouragement. Her gifts and passion for ministry have provided opportunities as a mentor, minister of prayer, helps, outreach and counseling.
Lenora firmly believes that ministry extends far beyond the walls of the church. Directed by the Holy Spirit, in 2002 she founded “Anointed Ministry Empowerment and Training Ministries, Inc.” known as M.E.A.T. Ministries, to further meet the needs of God’s people. M.E.A.T.’s purpose is to refresh and equip believers to carry out their Christian walk through Ministry empowerment and Christian training; and to bring non-Christians to the realization of their need for Christ through discipleship and evangelism.
Lenora has served as an ambassador and volunteer coordinator for the INSPIRE Conference—Houston’s unique women's event. For four years she served as staff member and volunteer coordinator for the TEACH Conventions sponsored by the College of Biblical Studies. She is the author and editor of The Overflow a God-first publication; guest writer of Christian articles for Christian-to-Christian Newsletter; a member of the Houston Area Urban League Guild, whose fundraising efforts produce job opportunities, educational funding, housing and other resources for under-privileged minorities. Lenora has a passion for the homeless and the elderly. God has blessed her to be a blessing to others. She has sphere headed several missionary projects partnering with Loaves and Fishes Homeless Shelter, Covenant House of Houston, Hands Across the Waters of Massachusetts, Cornerstone Ministry; and has assisted impoverished areas Belize, Africa, the Ivory Coast, and Brazil.

Her vision is uncompromisingly clear, with one vital standard -- to encourage, inspire and equip a ministry of empowered people. Lenora is a 4.0 graduate of the College of Biblical Studies Seminary, holds a Bachelor of Science in Leadership/Biblical Studies and an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree. She has attended the Kingdom Builders Prayer Institute and SALT Ministers training. She is a licensed and ordained minister of the Gospel; a conference and workshop speaker; counselor; and continues her Christian education in the areas of Prayer, Biblical Counseling and Walking in Kingdom Authority.
In addition to being the founder of her own ministry, Lenora presently serves as an active Minister at The Fountain of Praise Church in Houston, where she also labors as Ministry Leader, Teacher and Intercessor in the Corporate Prayer Ministry, a member of the Care Disciples Ministry, Women’s Mission Outreach, IMPACT Prayer Ministry, Women of Praise Discipleship teacher and a Vacation Bible School teacher.
She has been recognized by various religious and political organizations throughout the city as a "2009 Community Leader" “Woman of Excellence” and a “Women on the Move for God”. Lenora accompanied her Pastor and church members on her first foreign mission to Cachoeira, Brazil ministering to those of cultural differences. She recently led a team of M.E.A.T. missionaries to the Ozark Mountains of Hot Springs, Arkansas. God has blessed Lenora to visit 28 different countries exceeding her life’s goal of 25, accentuating her enthusiasm for traveling. Aboard the Carnival Cruise Line on the seas of the Mexican Riviera, Lenora was a “vessel of hope” as keynote speaker as she was used by God to deliver a Thanksgiving Sermon (and administer communion) to many inspired passengers. She continues to utilize her gifts and callings unselfishly donating her time, money and resources to many charities locally and abroad. Juanita Pauldon, a woman after God’s heart. She joined Christian Tabernacle Church in the late 1980’s where she received Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized. She relocated to Houston, Texas in 1997 where she joined Southwest Community Baptist Church. During her membership at Southwest, she served as Assistant Director of the Touch & Agree Prayer Ministry and was a Sunday School Teacher.
In November 2002 Juanita relocated back to Illinois and later re-joined Christian Tabernacle Church (“CTC”) in 2003. She was ordained on October 28, 2007 as a Deaconess demonstrating her gifts and abilities for ministry, leadership, teaching, administration, visitation and serving the needs of others. She faithfully serves as a Sunday School Teacher, Women’s Ministry Prayer Coordinator and is a member of the Christian Tabernacle Church Praise Team. Juanita’s ministry extends beyond the walls of the church. For two years she has served as Board of Director for Anointed M-E-A-T Ministries, Inc. This is a ministry of empowerment and training for Christian leaders, where she also serves as Ordination Chairman. She has been a Program and Conference speaker in Illinois and Texas; as well as facilitator for mission outreach in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Her compassionate heart for teens has purposed her to facilitate Youth and Teen workshops with a desire to teach them the word of God and to encourage them in their walk and relationship with Jesus.
Juanita is presenting attending Trinity International University pursuing Bachelor of Arts Degree in Christian Ministry. She has one daughter, a son-in-law and two beautiful grandchildren. Her motto is “Seek God in Prayer about everything.” Her favorite scripture is “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6.
Johnnie Breakfield, Minister Johnnie Breakfield is a preacher, teacher and doer of the Word of God. She joined SouthwestCommunityChristianCenter in January 2000 after transferring with her job from Beaumont, Texas where she was an active member of Mt.SinaiBaptistChurch; serving as Sunday School Teacher, Women’s Ministry Secretary, and in other areas such as Outreach Ministry, Choir and Culinary Ministry.
Minister Breakfield has a great desire to please God as she walks in her calling and purpose. She believes that a Sermon should be seen as well as preached. “Our lives should line up with the Word of God. We should lead by example.” She currently serves at SouthwestCommunityChristianCenter in several ministries: New Members Orientation, Drill Team, Women’s Christian Fellowship, Bible Study and Children’s Church.
Minister Breakfield actively serves as a Board of Director for Anointed M.E.A.T. Ministries, Inc. (Ministry Empowerment and Training) and involved in Chosen Sister-2-Sister, an outreach ministry geared towards reaching women, children and taking the word to the elderly in the nursing homes.
She believes that if: “Each One, Reach One, the world would be a better place.” One of her favorite scriptures is Psalm 91:1 “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall swell under the shadow of the Almighty.”
Minister Breakfield is the mother of three children: Kenneth, Beverly and Alisha and has four grand children: Brit’Kne, Kaila, Kalob and Kendalynn.
