The scriptures tell us “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.” {Luke 8:11} The crop cannot be harvested unless the seed is planted. The seed is what we are to plant into men’s hearts—God’s word. It is God’s power to save (Romans 1:16). Remember, the seed can reproduce only after “its own kind.” Only by planting the true gospel of Christ can one Christian reproduce another Christian. Thanks to our many supporters M.E.A.T. has the privilege of sowing good seed into fertile ground.
During the month of December the residents of the Covenant House of Houston received an overwhelming amount of donated clothing, shoes, purses, coats, toiletries and money from the supporters of Anointed M.E.A.T. Ministries Incorporated. These donations helped dress young adults for professional interviews and career opportunities.
While taking a tour of Covenant House, the leaders of M.E.A.T. were amazed by the sanctuary where the residents gathered for worship service. Only one thing lacking – bibles. God opened doors of utterance to M.E.A.T. to sow generously through every avenue available. M.E.A.T. proudly planted a seed through the donation of a case of pew bibles for the worship center. Good seed on good ground!
Special thanks to the Covenant House Staff, Ministers Lenora Phelps (Founder of M.E.A.T.), Johnnie Breakfield, Juanita Pauldon, Nona Wells, Roberta Carter, Carole Reed, Betty Moon, Millie Hall, Rosalyn Wilson, Lovie Holiday, Rosalyn Peterson, Linda Payne and David Payne. We are all grateful for the privilege to work for and with the Supreme Sower, Jesus Christ!
“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.” {1 Corinthians 3:6-8}
